PositionPurposePhysical Therapist (Inpatient Rehab) – evaluate a patient’sstrength, range of motion, endurance, balance, and ability toperform functional mobility such as getting into and out of bed,transferring, walking, and stair climbing, also wheelchair skillsif appropriate.
What you will do:
Per Diem PT – inpatient rehab Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitativeprograms that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength,and decrease or prevent deformity of patients suffering fromdisease or injury. Administer manual exercises, massage and/or traction to helprelieve pain, increase the patient’s strength, and decrease orprevent deformity and crippling. Discharge patient from physical therapy when goals or projectedoutcomes have been attained and provide for appropriate follow upcare or referrals. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stagesand adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Identify anddocument goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.
Inform the patient when diagnosis reveals findings outside theirscope and refer to an appropriate practitioner. Instruct patientand family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs ofphysical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physicalfunctioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction inpatients. Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress inpatient’s chart or enter information into computer. Reviewphysician’s referral and patient’s medical records to helpdetermine diagnosis and physical therapy treatment required.

Graduate of an accredited school ofPhysical Therapy is required.

-Must be aLicensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida isrequired.
