Competitive salary opportunity available, based on experience and caseload We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) to join our interdisciplinary team. This unique role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care in both a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) setting and an outpatient pediatric clinic, supporting infants, toddlers, and children with a variety of developmental and medical needs. As a member of our collaborative team, you will play a key role in helping children gain greater independence, enhance mobility, and reach important milestones through play-based and functional physical therapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess gross motor skills, strength, coordination, and functional abilities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each child’s developmental stage and therapy goals.
Use evidence-based techniques and therapeutic play to improve mobility, balance, and coordination.
Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nursing staff, educators, and families for holistic care planning.
Educate and coach caregivers on home programs to support carryover into daily routines.
Track progress and modify interventions to meet evolving needs.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Medicaid and clinic policies.
Stay current with pediatric therapy research and best practices.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Active Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license.
Pediatric experience required; PPEC or medically complex pediatric experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to family involvement.
Skilled in developing age-appropriate, engaging, and functional treatment sessions.
Strong documentation and time-management abilities.
