Job Summary:

Riviera Health Resort seeks a skilled PRN Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to residents on an as-needed basis. This role requires the flexibility to work mainly weekends, and some weekdays as needed. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and help patients regain mobility, strength, and independence.

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions and activities to help patients achieve their goals, focusing on improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Provide skilled intervention to improve patient functional independence. Monitor patient progress and modify therapy plans as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, other therapists, and family members to ensure integrated and comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge plans. Educate patients and their families on therapy goals, techniques, and home exercise programs. Ensure patient safety and follow infection control protocols.

Schedule:

Per diem (PRN) basis. Availability to work mainly weekends and some weekdays as needed.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program. Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification. Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and treatment skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or similar setting.
