Phillips Baby Place,cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Winter Park, andstate-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at theAdventHealth Orthopedic Institute
- The role youllcontribute:
- Provides direct and indirect services in the acutecare, inpatient and/or outpatient rehabilitation settings.
Utilizesprocess improvement in achieving the goals of the RehabilitationDepartment. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate CompliancePlan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local,state and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies. May superviseother Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, technicalaides, volunteers and interns. Actively participates in outstandingcustomer service and accepts responsibility in maintainingrelationships that are equally respectful to all.
- The value youllbring to the team:
- Performs evaluations and re-evaluationsaccording to standards and recommended techniques. Establishes,implements and adapts an individualized treatment plan of care(including appropriate goal setting, treatment activities andfrequency). Discharges patients when maximum benefit has beenachieved and/or according to standards of practice and payerguidelines.
- Documents accurately, completely, and timely withlegible handwriting. Uses measurable and objective terminologyfollowing standards of practice, insurance guidelines anddepartment/hospital policy and procedures.
- Charges patientaccurately, timely, and legibly according to guidelines of the CPTcode format and following insurance guidelines.
- Identifies theneed for patient/caregiver education and utilizes each opportunityfor teaching on a planned or spontaneous basis, including dischargerecommendations. Documents education and understanding, asappropriate.
- The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and five or more years ofwork experience in physical therapy, _OR_
- Masters or Doctoraldegree in Physical Therapy
- Licensed in the State of Florida as aPhysical Therapist, _OR_
- Temporary State of Florida permit asPhysical Therapist
