FUNCTION
- Physical Therapist Assistant PTA works with a physicaltherapist (PT) to carry out an individualized program of physicaltherapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation,education, and communication to maximize a patient’s progresstoward achieving functional goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmentalneeds of the population age groups that will be receivingservices.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations.
- Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)approved physical therapy program.
- At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide.
- Current license from the state Board of Physical TherapyExaminers.
