Golisano Children’s Hospital,5Outpatient Pediatric Clinics The Physical Therapist (PT) positionis responsible for examining, evaluating and testing individualswith mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments,functional limitations, and disabilities or other health andmovement-related conditions in order to determine a diagnosis,prognosis and plan of treatment intervention, and assess theongoing effects of intervention. The PT is also responsible foralleviating impairments, functional limitations and disabilities bydesigning, implementing and modifying treatment interventions.

Additional responsibilities include reducing the risk of injury,impairment, functional limitation and disability, as well as, thepromotion and maintenance of fitness, health and wellness inpopulations of all ages. The PT is engaged in administration,consultation, education and research. The PT is expected to conductthemselves in an effective professional behavior manner. Theattributes, characteristics or behaviors required for success inthis job include: critical thinking, communication, problemsolving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, useof constructive feedback, effective use of time and resources,stress management, and commitment to learning.

RequirementsEducational Requirements:

Bachelors, Masters, or Doctor of PhysicalTherapy required
