$15,000 sign-on bonus Department Details Therehabilitation team at Good Samaritan Sioux Falls Village seeks tohire a Physical Therapist to join our team. The position is fulltime, 36 – 40 hours per week, M-F. Therapy treats long-term careresidents, short-term rehab, mobile outpatient, and out-patient formany conditions including: neurological conditions, orthopedic, andbalance/falls/gait. We are looking to hire a candidate who cancomplement our team. Flexible schedule! Job Summary Plans,organizes and delivers physical therapy programs that helpclients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility,relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities. Conductsexaminations, evaluations, and interventionsclients/patients/residents who are affected by injury or disease.
Utilizes tools and techniques to administer physical therapyinterventions following safeguards. Documentsclient’s/patient’s/resident’s information for evaluation;establishes therapeutic plans and modifies them if necessary.
Educates clients/patients/residents and their family members abouttreatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued athome. Knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related treatmentsand evaluations relating to the needs ofclients/patients/residents. Demonstrate and incorporate knowledgeof current research into daily treatment ofclients/patients/residents. May treat individuals of all ages withvarying diagnosis and disorders. Will demonstrate documentation inaccordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatoryrequirements. Demonstrates level of treatment associated with theirspecialty provided to their clients/patients/residents. Follows andadheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professionalorganization. Exhibits flexibility with acceptance of variable workschedules/assignments. Participates in activities to promote thedepartment, Good Samaritan Society and Sanford Health. Will beinteracting with individuals outside of the department includingbut not limited to: providers, case managers, third party payers,public organizations, companies/contractual partners, etc. May beasked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provideclient/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services. Will beexpected to provide ongoing education and training to peers in thearea(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership.
Performs other related duties as requested by manager. Based onfacility needs and assigned locations, may focus on those receivingintervention in the post-acute, long term care and home health careenvironments. Qualifications Appropriate education level requiredin accordance with state licensure. Must be licensed in thestate(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist. When applicable, mayrequire valid driver’s license. Obtains and subsequently maintainsrequired department specific competencies and certifications. BasicLife Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within thefirst 60 days of employment.
