Responsibilities:
PhysicalTherapistSummary:
Provides physical therapy and related services forpatients while maintaining positive levels of interaction withfacilities and clients in accordance with the principles andpractices of physical therapy and within Reliant Rehabilitationguidelines. Provides quality patient care including screening andevaluation of patients, development of initial and ongoingtreatment plans of care, discharge plan, supervision of assistantsand Rehab Techs, and case management responsibilities. Maintainsprofessional conduct that represents Reliant Rehabilitationscommitment to quality and service in all interactions with clients,including positive levels of interaction and rapport withfacilities and clients. Adheres to all state and federalregulations regarding physical therapy.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
Optimize the functionality and skills of patientsby providing, directing, and/or overseeing physical therapyProvideconsultation and clinical supervision to PTAs.
Directly supervisePTA and Rehab Tech in skilled tasks during group and individualtreatment in a manner that promotes efficient and effectiveutilization of resources and facilitates the ongoing development ofclinical skills in accordance with State Practice Acts, OmnibusReconciliation Act (OBRA), and Reliant Rehabilitation policy.
Builda strong physical therapy programEnhance clinical expertise,professional and management skills through interaction withmanagers, therapists and other professional staff, self-study, andother continuing education activities.
Maintain a valid statelicense. Maintain awareness of issues related to the profession ofphysical therapy and the health care environment.
Understandsvarious relevant payment models related to billing and treatmentguidelines, as well as clinically appropriate means/modes ofdelivery. Provide quality care as well as reasonable goals andoutcomes within the guidelines.
Be compliant with infection controlprocedures and environmental safety protocol within afacility.
