Summary:

The Clinic Director is responsible for themanagement of the physical therapy clinic, overall patient andemployee satisfaction, as well as the evaluation and treatment ofpatients. This includes effective clinical operations, clinicgrowth and staff development. The Clinic Director oversees allclinic staff and coordinates staff scheduling and management tooptimize the operation of the clinic in accordance with standardsset by Alliance PT. They will develop relationships with referringphysicians and potential referring physicians to sustain anddevelop referral sources. Success will be measured not only bymeeting revenue, profit, growth and compliance goals, but also byrelationships built with the staff, patients, and referral sources,as well as the clinical training and development of staff.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:

Performs high quality daily patienttherapy including evaluations, plan of care development, treatment,and discharge. Ensures appropriate documentation is complete.

Whileproviding patient care as a therapist, the Clinic Director assumesresponsibility and accountability for the planning, provision andcoordination of all aspects of direct patient care in the clinicaccording to the established policies and procedures.

Manage anddrive Key Performance Indicators such as units per hour, units pervisit, patient visits per case, cancellations, referrals, andtrends in patient billing per individual clinician.

Directs patientcare including evaluation, assessment and planning, to insureproper case management. Provides therapy to patients using manualtherapy, modalities, exercise instruction, functional progressions,etc., maintaining the highest standards of quality andefficiency.

Identifies staff development opportunities andfacilitates learning and development to advance clinicalskills.

Ensure daily treatments notes for all patients are completeprior to end of day. Ensure billing amounts on daily notes matchtreatment time and that all units of treatment are accountedfor.

Ensure billing is accurate and complete prior to signing off onthe daily note in accordance with Alliances policy, state practiceact and federal regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA,Medicare and Medicaid.

Assists in development and implementation ofclinical policies and procedures regarding patient care andcompliance policies.

Assures necessary equipment is available and inclean and safe working order.

Monitor all patient discharges inalignment with Alliance PT standards of care.

Participate in annualbudget establishment and achievement through ongoing assessment ofclinic needs and course correction when necessary. Participates inchartreviews to ensure staff compliance in chart completion andaccuracy.

Directly supervises therapists and other clinical staffwithin the office. Recruits, selects and retains clinical andsupport staff.

Practices sound employee management techniques inaccordance with the company procedures, the employee handbook andexisting state, federal and other employment laws.

Utilizes othercorporate resources in situations where uncertainty exists inpotentially problematic employee relations or other managementissues.

Consistently communicates with staff through staff meetings,staff reviews, and informal open-door practices. Providesconstructive feedback and coaching and manages staff performanceissues proactively.

Assures compliance with Federal / Medicareguidelines and company compliance policies.

Manages the staffingschedule of the clinic, approves timecards, PTO requests andmaintains an appropriate staff mix and coverage levels. Developsand implements a systematic marketing plan which includes makingsales calls to physicians, nurses, clinicians and other potentialreferral sources. Secures solid relationships and referral sourceswithin the area.

Provides educational marketing programs forreferral sources, area businesses, and the general community.

Attend networking events with marketing support staff andphysicians.

Analyzes patient satisfaction survey feedback tounderstand how to improve services.

Communicates with referralsources by providing regular feedback regarding patientprogress.

Qualifications:

Masters orDoctorate degree in Physical Therapy.

Current Physical Therapistlicense, registration and/or certification as per stateregulations.

Previous supervisory experience preferred.
