Participates in promotions, new member receptions and special events as directed by the Department Manager. Education Required
- Completion of an accredited and licensed Massage Therapy Program Work Experience Preferred
- 1 year experience as a massage therapist Certifications Required
- Current Massage Therapy License the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard. Communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Strong interpersonal skills. Job Duties Prepares massage room and gives massages to members and non-members. Maintains client information by updating health history and SOAP charting for every massage session. Participates in massage related promotions, new member receptions, specials and events. Maintains cleanliness and safety of massage room, supplies and equipment. Provides excellent customer service to all clients. Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
