Position Summary/Department Summary:

We are seeking anexperienced Physical Therapist to join our team, and help expandour pediatric pelvic floor program. Be a part of ourinter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality, outpatientrehabilitation for our pediatric patients. In this position, youwill work in the outpatient department treating clients of allgenders with Pelvic Health issues including pelvic floordysfunction, pelvic pain and incontinence, as well asdevelopmental, orthopedic and neurological conditions as needed.

Primary location will be at our Waltham, with initial training atthe Boston location. This position will include regular Saturdaycoverage after completion of orientation period.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Completing comprehensive physical therapyassessment in alignment with department standards and guidelinesfor pediatric patients.
  • Performing pelvic floor muscle assessmentand treatment for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. Mustestablish plan of care to achieve established goals relative toage, medical history and dysfunction.
  • Working closely with a teamof providers to provide integrated care and follow-up.
  • Demonstrating professional competence and clinical reasoning inassessing patient’s condition at the onset and through all phasesof skilled physical therapy.
  • Performing diagnostic evaluationsupon referral by physician. Verifying appropriateness of referral,contacting physician as necessary.
  • Developing and implementingindividualized patient treatment programs. Establishing treatmentgoals, and prescribing and administering appropriate physicaltherapy procedures.
  • Preparing discharge plans and home treatmentprograms and providing instruction and education to patients andfamilies. Monitoring treatment outcomes, modifying program asneeded and communicating recommendations to physicians and otherproviders.
  • Recording assessments, diagnoses and treatment inpatient medical record according to established documentationstandards.

Preparing reports, correspondence, referrals and othermaterials for schools, providers, payors, and others as needed.

Assigning standardized billing codes and corresponding chargesrequired for reimbursement.

  • Contributing to teamwork.
MinimumQualifications Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
Experience:
  • 3 years minimum pediatric PT experience required.
  • Adult or Pediatric Pelvic floor experience preferred. Additionaltraining and mentorship will be provided
  • APTA CAPP-Pelviccertification or equivalent advanced training/certification forpelvic floor PT is desired, but not required to be hired. PleaseNOTE
  • BCH will pay for CAPP-Pelvic certification, if hired.
  • Excellent Analytical and Communication skills.
Licensure/Certifications:
  • Physical Therapist license in the stateof MA.

The position is based in Waltham, with training in Boston.
