Position Summary/Department Summary:

Our Waltham location islooking for a per diem Saturday Physical Therapist to join theirteam! This position is primarily outpatient with inpatient coverageof the small unit in Waltham

• predominately seeing patients aftersurgery for crutch training

Key Responsibilities:

• Completingcomprehensive physical therapy assessment in alignment withdepartment standards and guidelines for pediatric patients.
• Reviewing patient medical history/record and selects, administers,and interprets standardized and non-standardized tests andmeasurements to assess patients’ functional status related tocardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, andsensorimotor function.
• Integrating knowledge into clinicaldecisions and recommendations
• Developing and implementingindividualized patient treatment programs.
• Establishing treatmentgoals and administers appropriate physical therapy procedures andmodalities
• Discharge plans and home treatment programs, andproviding education to patients and families
• Recommendingorthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology forpatients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions.
• Liaisonwith equipment designers and vendors regarding equipmentspecifications and patient needs.
• Training patients, families,and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribedorthotics/equipment, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, andinitiating modifications as needed.
• Recording assessments,diagnoses, and treatment inpatient medical records according toestablished documentation standards.
• Preparing reports,correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools,providers, payers, and others as needed.
• Assigning standardizedbilling codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.

Minimum Qualifications Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in

PhysicalTherapy Experience:

• Minimum of one year of licensed PT experiencepreferred
• Hospital based pediatric PT experience a plus!

Licensure/Certifications:

• Physical Therapist license in the stateof MA This position is based in Waltham, with Saturday coverageneed This candidate MUST be able and available to train and orientduring weekdays LI-Onsite
