Position Summary/Department Summary:
We are currently seeking a40-hour Outpatient Physical Therapist for our Boston location. Be apart of our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality,rehabilitation for our pediatric patients. Our PTs help patients —from newborns to young adults — gain movement, strength,coordination, balance, and function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing complex diagnostic evaluations upon referral and inaccordance with departmental and professional guidelines andstandards
- Reviewing patient medical history/record and selects,administers, and interprets standardized and non-standardized testsand measurements to assess patients’ functional status related tocardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, andsensorimotor function.
- Integrating knowledge into clinicaldecisions and recommendations
- Developing and implementingindividualized patient treatment programs.
- Establishing treatmentgoals and administers appropriate physical therapy procedures andmodalities
- Discharge plans and home treatment programs, andproviding education to patients and families
- Recommendingorthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology forpatients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions.
- Liaisonwith equipment designers and vendors regarding equipmentspecifications and patient needs.
- Training patients, families,and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribedorthotics/equipment, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, andinitiating modifications as needed.
- Recording assessments,diagnoses, and treatment inpatient medical records according toestablished documentation standards.
- Preparing reports,correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools,providers, payers, and others as needed.
- Assigning standardizedbilling codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in
PhysicalTherapy Experience:
- One to two years of previous physical therapyexperience preferred.
Pediatric experience is highly preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Active Physical Therapist licensure inthe state of MA Schedule is M-F New hires are eligible for a $5,000sign-on bonus!
