Seeking a full-time outpatient physical therapist to join our highly skilled team located at the Marsh Brook Rehab clinic in Somersworth, NH. We are a dynamic physical therapy practice that incorporates evidence-based practice into treatment of clients with orthopedic and sports-related injuries. Our state-of-the-art facility includes an on-site sports performance center, aquatic center, and cutting-edge technology. Our clinical team encourages collaboration with fellow physical therapists, in addition to on-site occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and exercise physiologists to support our patients’ needs. This is a great opportunity to develop or enhance advanced orthopedic and manual therapy skills.
Job Summary
Summary
Responsible for planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. They will be responsible for Physical Therapy Student and Physical Therapy Assistants as well as training new staff as needed. Does this position require Patient Care?
Yes Essential Functions
- Establishes therapy goals and formulates a treatment plan based on evaluation results.
- Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
- Provides individual, family and group therapy sessions for clients engaged in outpatient therapy
- Participates in the interdisciplinary group for hospice patients and the case conference meetings for home health patients.
- Participates in discharge planning.
- Provides initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and protocols and facilitate recommendations for treatment.
- Records all pertinent data in the patient’s medical records. Qualifications

Experience
Experience working as a physical therapist in a hospital, rehab or Ambulatory setting 1-2 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Teaching others how to do something.
- Excellent problem solving, case management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
