Job Description
Physical Therapist (PT) Ridgewood NJ Physical Therapist – Ridgewood, NJ Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to work within a physical therapy rehab center in Ridgewood, NJ. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for examining, evaluating, and treating patients with conditions that are acute or chronic. Hours/Schedule Monday through Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm OR 10:00am-8:00pm Responsibilities Assess patients with acute or chronic conditions (e.g., back pain, osteoporosis, carpal tunnel syndrome). Conduct thorough physical assessments to evaluate mobility, strength, flexibility, balance, and pain levels. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation and evidence-based practices. Help patients improve their movement and physical functionality in daily tasks, work, and recreational activities. Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to enhance strength, range of motion, coordination, and endurance. Educate patients on body mechanics and movement strategies to prevent future injuries. Provide non-surgical options for managing musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. Support patients pre- and post-operatively to optimize surgical outcomes and recovery time. Use manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation), and patient education to reduce pain. Educate patients about their conditions and self-care strategies. Encourage and support healthier lifestyles by promoting physical activity and injury prevention techniques. Guide patients in long-term wellness, including chronic condition management. Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and progress notes. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Communicate clearly with patients and families about treatment goals and expectations. Practice in accordance with state licensure laws and national guidelines. Stay current with continuing education and clinical research. Follow ethical principles in patient care, including informed consent and patient confidentiality. Performs other related work as required.
