Per Diem Physical Therapist Position Available In Montgomery, New York

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients’ medical history and perform physical examinations to determine the best course of treatment
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients’ needs and goals
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other interventions to improve patients’ mobility, strength, and overall function
• Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to promote recovery and prevent further injury
• Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in accordance with professional standards and facility policies
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Proficiency in various physical therapy techniques, including trigger point therapy
• Experience in acute care settings and working with pediatric patients is preferred
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in patient care
• Empathy and compassion to provide emotional support to patients during their rehabilitation journey
