Physical Therapist Smithtown NY (LI) Urgently Hiring FT or PT$95k-$105k We are looking for a motivated Physical Therapist tojoin our practice full time in Smithtown NY. Ideally, the incomingphysical therapist is entrepreneurial and driven, a fantastic teamplayer, who enjoys helping others on their journey to health andwellness while providing excellent manual care for injured patientsand athletes. Must have great people and time management skills andbe looking to grow with a clinic long term. Orthopedic and SportsMedicine background is preferred. We are the team sports medicine providers for severallocal colleges including Stony Brook University, St Joseph’sCollege and Suffolk County Community College.
Duties:
PatientEvaluations (past medical history, exam, relevant imaging)Thoroughly and appropriately evaluates referred patients to assesstheir need for physical therapy services and the best possiblephysical therapy treatment plan. In coordination with otherappropriate clinical team members, develops realistic,best-practice rehabilitation program using appropriate therapeuticmodalities designed to meet the patients’ personal, vocational,recreational, and medical needs. Orients patients to theirindividual physical therapy programs to assure their understandingof the treatments, mutually agreed upon goals, and approximateanticipated length of the treatment. Establish Plan of CareAdminister prescribed modalities, therapies, and exercise programs(Manual therapy, laser therapy, dry needling, pelvic floor, chronicpain mm) Regularly reassess Patients to determineeffectiveness/progress Patient education as to importance ofcontinuation of therapies, diagnosis, and treatment optionsCoordination of treatment plan with patient and other team membersDocumentation and Charting (timely and accurate notes) Workcooperatively with the team and other support staff forcomprehensive patient care Patient follow up to ensure treatmentgoals are being met- reassessments Weekly training with the team
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Physical TherapyProgram (DPT) Physical Therapy license in NY Familiarity with postoperative orthopedic conditions and sports rehabilitationtechniques is advantageous. We will consider recent grads!
Schedule:
Full time or Part time Salary (range): $95k-$105k peryear
