Overview:

Under the general supervision of TherapyLeadership and according to departmental policies and proceduresregarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objectiveassessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatmentprograms for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for directsupervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitationtechnicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordancewith State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in amanner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy ServiceStandards.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor, Master of Sciencein Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

•

Licensure:

Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice

• Certifications:

  BLS certified. Required certifications must becurrent before assigned to care for patients independently.

• Preferred Experience:

  Six months to one year experience ispreferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experiencewith care for adult and geriatric patients.

• PhysicalRequirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/orlift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolongedstanding and walking during each shift.
• Position requires theability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to performduties.
