Qualifications:
Graduate ofan accredited college with an A.S., in Physical Therapist Assistantthat the APTA recognizes. PTA holds a current license and/orregistration as a Physical Therapist Assistant in-state asapplicable.
Responsibilities:
Physical Therapist Assistant providescomprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PTaccording to state practice guidelines. Assist PT in identifyingappropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in an accurateand timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the PT. EnsureMD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications anddischarges. Physical Therapist Assistant completes all requireddocumentation requirements as indicated and according to stateguidelines
