Position Description:
To provide Physical Therapy services (evaluation, treatment plan development, treatment, delegation of treatment, family training, and discharge planning) to patients in a hospital-based inpatient rehab setting in accordance with facility policy, standards, and philosophy. The Therapist will be expected to meet documentation standards accurately, timely, and appropriately. Physical Therapists will enjoy almost exclusively 1-on-1 treatments in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere where the primary focus is on patient improvement. They will work closely with other staff including Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, Techs, and Physicians, toward seeing patients return home (which over 90% of them do).
Position Requirements:
Degree from an accredited program of Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate). Prefer 1 year experience in an acute/inpatient setting; but not required. Current SC license and BLS certification. Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments given by the facility Expected personnel skills, availability, and abilities: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Therapist should expect to work at least 1 weekend per quarter, and will be asked to schedule those dates in advance Strong interpersonal skills with patients, families, and coworkers Clinical competence Commitment to excellence
