- State-of-the-art equipment What you will do in this role: Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of thosepatients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapytechs.
May be assigned to orient staff and students and assume theduties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence ofthat individual Assesses patients’ needs; identifies and initiates appropriatephysical therapy interventions; works cooperatively with otherpatient team personnel in maintaining standards for professionalphysical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork Observes and evaluates treatment affect, accomplishment ofshort and long term goals. Recommends change to physician, ifneeded Performs an appropriate assessment on each patient and performsreassessments, as per policy. Performs accurate and timely QIscoring. The population is adult and geriatric patients requiringan adult medical rehabilitation program and services Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level offunction of participation in rehabilitation; makes appropriateinterventions to reduce pain; makes appropriate physician contactfor intervention Formulates and updates patient specific plan of care forphysical therapy Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state wherethe hospital is located Inpatient rehab experience preferred Current BLS/CPR Card Community Rehabilitation Hospital Southstrives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life ofthose we serve through comprehensive physical medicine andrehabilitation programs. Our rehabilitation programs provideongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout theirrecovery journey. We offer customized, intense rehabilitationtailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke,brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury,amputation, and orthopedic injury. We are accredited by The JointCommission and CARF-accredited for our Comprehensive IntegratedInpatient Rehabilitation Program and our Stroke SpecialtyProgram.
