Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of thosepatients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapytechs. May be assigned to orient staff and students and assume theduties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence ofthat individual Assesses patients’ needs; identifies and initiatesappropriate physical therapy interventions; works cooperativelywith other patient team personnel in maintaining standards forprofessional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinaryteamwork Observes and evaluates treatment affect, accomplishment ofshort and long term goals. Recommends change to physician, ifneeded Performs an appropriate assessment on each patient andperforms reassessments, as per policy. Performs accurate and timelyQI scoring. The population is adult and geriatric patientsrequiring an adult medical rehabilitation program and services Ableto assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of functionof participation in rehabilitation; makes appropriate interventionsto reduce pain; makes appropriate physician contact forintervention Formulates and updates patient specific plan of carefor physical therapy Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a PhysicalTherapist in the state where the hospital is located Inpatientrehab experience preferred Current BLS/CPR Card CommunityRehabilitation Hospital South strives to maximize the health,function, and quality of life of those we serve throughcomprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.
