ABOUT THE JOB

The Physical Therapist is responsible for a combination of clinicaland client facing worksite support. The Physical Therapist isresponsible for assuring that all patients receive top notchmusculoskeletal care. The Physical Therapist will carry out anindividualized program of physical therapy including assessment,treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communicationto maximize a patient’s progress toward achieving functional goals.

In addition, the Physical Therapist will help support the client inthe worksite providing body mechanics education, ergonomics andsafety information, wellness initiatives, and other non-clinicalworksite support. The Physical Therapist will maintain a positiveworking relationship and collaboration with other healthprofessionals and ancillary staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Functions as part of care continuum and medical team, includingbut not limited to: physician, PA/NP, occupational therapist,health coach, medical assistant, etc. Administers appropriate physical therapy treatments includingtherapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, manual therapies,modalities, and patient education. Based on results of thorough assessment, plans, and executes athorough goal-directed treatment program that meets the patient’sgoals and provides positive outcome measures. Assist with care coordination and ensure patient seeksappropriate level of care or specialty and follows upaccordingly. May supervise and direct PTA’s in accordance with professionalguidelines. Teach in-home therapeutic exercises and stretches as part oftreatment plan. Documents patient care services appropriately and promptly bycharting in patient’s electronic medical record. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying withprocedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering toinfection-control policies and protocols. Maintains and develops professional knowledge and skills byreviewing professional publications and by attending continuingeducation. Develops physical therapy staff by providing evidence-basedpractice resources, developing and conducting in-service trainingprograms. Injury prevention education and worksite assessments as neededand/or applicable. Address ergonomic needs of client worksite asapplicable/needed. Effectively communicates with interdisciplinary team in theplanning and implementation of the patient’s plan of care. Attend all Marathon Health center training sessions (includingEMR training). Identify community health needs and strategies to addressthem. To advise on Marathon Health policy within the continuallychanging environment of healthcare delivery. To schedule follow-up appointments, screenings, and tests forclient company employees. Assist in outreach efforts with Marathon Health to target thoseemployees at highest risk of developing chronic diseases.

QUALIFICATIONS

BS, MS or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accrediteduniversity (CAPTE). Current license from the state Board ofPhysical Therapy Examiners. Minimum of 3 years’ experience workingas a Physical Therapist. Current BLS certification. Understandingof clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic medicalrecords software in accordance with state, federal, and APTAguidelines. Outpatient experience for adolescent and adultpopulation. Ergonomic training, certification, or experience aplus.

Pay Range:

$45,000 – $65,000/yr for a 20hrs a week schedule. The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location andthe candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
