• Whatyou will do in this role:
• Assumes responsibility andaccountability for the care of those patients being treated byPhysical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs. May be assigned toorient staff and students and assume the duties andresponsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of thatindividual
• Assesses patients needs; identifies and initiatesappropriate physical therapy interventions; works cooperativelywith other patient team personnel in maintaining standards forprofessional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinaryteamwork
• Observes and evaluates treatment affect, accomplishmentof short and long term goals. Recommends change to physician, ifneeded
• Performs an appropriate assessment on each patient andperforms reassessments, as per policy. Performs accurate and timelyQI scoring. The population is adult and geriatric patientsrequiring an adult medical rehabilitation program and services
• Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level offunction of participation in rehabilitation; makes appropriateinterventions to reduce pain; makes appropriate physician contactfor intervention
• Formulates and updates patient specific plan ofcare for physical therapy
• Other duties asassigned

• Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a PhysicalTherapist in the state where the hospital is located
• Inpatientrehab experience preferred
