Physical Therapy Aide Peak Medical & Wellness Centers Paramus, NJ 07652 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. In this role, you will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting patient treatment sessions, maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment, and ensuring that patients receive the best possible service during their recovery process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and experience in patient care settings. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions by preparing equipment and ensuring a safe environment for patients. Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks as directed by the physical therapist. Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment. Document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort during therapy sessions. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Experience Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in orthopedics or related fields. Familiarity with medical terminology and basic knowledge of physiology is essential for effective communication with the healthcare team. Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating initiative in daily tasks.
