Physical Therapy Assistant AccelAbility Physical Therapy Homewood, AL 35209 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at AccelAbility Balance and Therapy. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care. You will play a vital role in helping patients recover from movement dysfunctions and improve their overall physical function. Duties Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Provide direct patient care by administering therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques. Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately. Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients from therapy to home or other settings. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies for continued improvement. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes. Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program. Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
