We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for rehabilitation. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others regain mobility and improve their quality of life. Duties Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities. Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions. Educate patients and their families on exercises, home care routines, and overall wellness strategies. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and discharge planning. Support patients in various settings including pediatrics, geriatrics, home health, inpatient facilities, and outpatient clinics. Requirements Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential. Experience or familiarity with pediatric and geriatric populations is preferred. Proficiency in physical therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy is a plus. Strong skills in patient care with a focus on empathy and effective communication. Ability to assist with discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients post-treatment. A valid Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification as required by state regulations. Minimum one year of experience preferred. Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of physical therapy.
