The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a pediatric habilitation setting working with medically fragile children. This role requires a strong understanding of physical therapy techniques, medical terminology, teamwork, and the ability to develop and implement effective care plans. Responsibilities Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist. Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients, focusing on habilitation. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with PCCA interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Evaluate patients for equipment needs and specialized wheelchair seating. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with facility standards. Qualifications Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Experience in skilled nursing facilities or pediatric setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development in physical therapy practices.
