Approximately 33 hours. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment. Answer phone calls and provide information or direct inquiries appropriately. Collect payments and insurance information, accurately entering data into the system. Perform basic record-keeping tasks, including maintaining accurate patient records, processing payments, and managing appointment schedules. Complete housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized clinic, including taking out trash, vacuuming, sanitizing tables and equipment, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning the restroom. Educate patients on chiropractic care, recommended treatment plans, and prescribed exercises. Assist with patient assessments, including taking vitals and documenting medical history. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns professionally. Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and readiness. Assist the chiropractor during patient treatments by following established protocols. Assist the chiropractor as a scribe. Perform administrative tasks such as filing insurance claims and managing office inventory. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, restocking as necessary. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Assist with internal marketing and helping retain patients through exceptional service.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Attention to detail is a must. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and doctor. Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with data entry and record-keeping systems. Basic knowledge of faxing, printing, scanning, and copying documents. Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and assist patients throughout the day. Compassionate and patient-focused mindset. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols. Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred:
Actively pursuing a college degree in a medical field or related discipline. Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role, particularly in front desk operations or assisting patients. Previous experience working in a chiropractic clinic. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environment. Experience with chiropractic software such as ChiroHD or similar. Experience handling insurance claims and verifications. CPR/First Aid Certification.
