Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Pensacola, FL . This as-needed position offers flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives. The PTA will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, focusing on improving mobility, relieving pain, and enhancing overall physical function.

Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting patient evaluations under the direction of a Physical Therapist to assess physical and functional status. Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and prescribed modalities to improve mobility, strength, and coordination. Educate patients and families on exercises, activities of daily living, and assistive devices to support treatment goals. Monitor and document patient progress, treatment modifications, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR). Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility policies regarding patient care, documentation, and safety.

Qualifications:

Associate s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA in Florida. CPR certification (preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a clinical setting (orthopedics, neurological rehab, or geriatrics preferred). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:
