About the
Role:
The PTA will help provide physical therapy services under a licensed physical therapist’s supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing customized treatment plans for patients under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist. Perform and document musculoskeletal examinations on prospective employees to ensure they are in good health to perform their job duties, including DOT, and basic occupational health exams Evaluate patients in tandem with staff physicians who have limitations or work restrictions and determine fitness for duty. Perform relevant employee testing, including urinalysis (drug testing), hearing (audiogram), vision (digital Titmus exam of acuity, peripheral, color, etc.) and TB screenings Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions. Evaluate patients for returning to work after injury or illness Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for continued improvement. Collaborate with the physical therapy team to ensure effective patient care. Perform phlebotomy (training available) Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with accrediting guidelines and regulations. Completes all other duties as assigned.
