Physical Therapy Assistant Red Marlin Staffing 1920 Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients in various settings, including clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise in medical terminology, physiology, and physical therapy techniques will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Duties Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. Conduct patient assessments and document progress in accordance with established protocols. Utilize techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation to enhance patient recovery. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for a smooth transition from inpatient care to home health or outpatient services. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to promote recovery at home. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or related field. Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is essential. Experience in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health preferred. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and patient education strategies. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
