Successfully graduated from anaccredited two-year program for physical therapist assistants,recognized by the appropriate accrediting agency•
Licensure:
Mustbe licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a PhysicalTherapy Assistant ( PTA )in the state of Florida•
Experience:
Priorexperience as a Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA ) is required;familiarity with skilled nursing facilities is a plus•
ProfessionalMembership:
Membership in state and national American PhysicalTherapy Associations is preferred•
Interpersonal Skills:
Strongadministrative and public relations skills to build effectiverelationships with patients and medical staff•
TherapeuticKnowledge:
In-depth understanding of physical therapy principles,methods, materials, and equipment•
Safety Awareness:
Knowledge ofpotential hazards during treatment and necessary safetyprecautions•
