OB SUMMARY
- Work under the supervision of a licensed and accredited Physician/Chiropractic Physician and assists the manager to effectively run a medical practice
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Office experience and understanding of medical terminology preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform Chiropractic Assistant duties Provides therapy modality assistance to the physician based on the therapy script Models exceptional customer service skills Takes some general diagnostic information including blood pressure, and records this for the physician’s use in the examination and treatment Control the office flow; attend to patient needs in a timely manner Abides by HIPAA laws regarding of sharing of personal medical information Responsible for accuracy and completion of paperwork Build a team atmosphere in the office Responsible for being in compliance with Joint Commission guidelines Communicate and work closely with Physicians and Office Manager Keep the office clean and presentable Other duties as assigned •Level 1 Greeting patients and visitors Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the clinic Responsible for the accuracy and completion of paperwork Maintaining compliance with Joint Commission / AHCA Following HIPAA Guidelines and Regulations regarding PHI Collecting all patient information Level 2 Answering phones, scheduling patients, appointment reminders, record keeping Responding to inquiry of patient status Scheduling patient transportation Preparing medical charts and packets Transferring patients Updating patient demographics Data entry Patient checkout systems Level 2.
A Understands X-Rays Understanding Therapy Scripts Prepares patients for radio-logical procedure Patient communication; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process Reviews patient intake forms and past medical history Maintains X-Ray room and equipment to ensure compliance Uploads X-ray images to patient file, burn CD’s to ensure images are backed up Reviews Doctor’s reports and scanning documents to correct files Level 3 Assist the Clinic Manger/Assistant Manager with Reviewing CA Schedules Assist the Clinic Manger/Assistant Manager with Lunch Schedules Assist the Doctor in Holding “CA” meetings/training’s Patient Flow Specialist Training New CA Hires Satisfies Scheduling of the Open and Closing of the Clinic. Meets expectations of hours including Saturdays Level 4 Responding to Inquiry of Patient Status Level 5 Level 6 Knowledgeable and Experienced in Patient Rehabilitation Level 6.A Assist the Doctor in Facilitating Patient Flow Level 7 Complete all New Hire (CA) Training Patient Care Specialist Speaks with patient on any concerns with therapy that was given/flow Satisfies Scheduling of the Open and Closing of the Clinic.
