Responsibilities Summary:

ThePhysical Therapy Technician is a vital role to the success of TeamRehabilitation. Primary responsibilities are to ensure thatpatients receive the necessary support to reach their recoveryobjectives and improve their well-being.

Responsibilities:

Assistin providing a high quality of treatment. Key factors would be inwelcoming and comforting patients to prepare them for theirphysical therapy. Display excellent customer service skills andprovide encouragement when appropriate. Follow the plan of careestablished for the patient by the therapist Assist the therapistswith non-clinical tasks and do whatever is needed to accommodateand support the patient’s success in therapy. Educate the patientabout the equipment, ensuring that they are using the equipmentsafely and correctly. Assist patient with light exercises andstrengthening techniques. Assist in the application of therapeuticmodalities, such as heath/ice packs and electrical stimulation.

Help patients that need assistance in walking from one area toanother, using proper techniques to ensure their safety. Ensure 360communication with patients, physicians, other staff members andanyone else involved in the patient’s care – including anynecessary follow-ups. Maintain a pleasant and professionalrelationship with patients and fellow staff. Prepare and keeptreatment areas clean and organized. Make sure that all equipmentis thoroughly sanitized after each use. Comply with all procedures,rules, and regulations. Maintain a solid level of productivity.

Observe and record any progress or changes to the PhysicalTherapist.

Other Tasks:

The Physical Therapy Technician reports tothe clinic director and performs any additional tasks assigned bythe clinic director.
