Physical Therapy Assistant Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to patients. They will assist patients with exercises, treatment plans, and modalities to help improve their overall physical function and mobility.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities. 2. Implementation of treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist. 3. Monitor and document patient progress. 4. Educate patients on proper techniques and exercises. 5. Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions. 6. Assist with modalities such as heat, ice, and electrical stimulation. 7. Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions. 8. Communicate with healthcare team regarding patient progress.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. 2. Current certification and licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant. 3. CPR certification. 4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. 6. Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques. 7.
