Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team in Farmingdale. As a PTA, you will work collaboratively with Physical Therapists to provide high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services.

Deliver hands-on patient care and therapeutic treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical TherapistImplement prescribed treatment plans and monitor patient progressPerform therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniquesDocument patient treatments, responses, and progress accurately in electronic health recordsEducate patients and caregivers about exercises, movement modifications, and home program activitiesAssist in patient mobility and transfer activitiesMaintain a clean and safe treatment environmentCollaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomesTrack and report patient progress to supervising Physical TherapistParticipate in regular team meetings and care planning sessionsQualificationsGraduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent state license to practice as a PTAValid CPR certificationStrong knowledge of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniquesExcellent patient care and assessment skillsProficient documentation and electronic health record skillsStrong interpersonal and communication abilitiesPhysical stamina to assist patients with exercises and mobilityDemonstrated problem-solving and time management skillsKnowledge of physical therapy protocols and safety guidelinesBasic understanding of orthopedics and rehabilitation principlesAbility to work effectively in a team environmentNew graduates are welcome to apply
