Physical Therapist Assistant PRN Arbor View Nursing and Rehabilitation 6400 The Cedars Ct, Cedar Hill, MO 63016 Arbor View Nursing & Rehab is a busy skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation facility with a compassionate and dedicated nursing team and a big, fun, high-energy in-house therapy team to work with. We see a wide variety of orthopedic, cognitive, dietary, and neurological diagnoses and both short-term rehab patients as well as long-term care residents. We are a newly formed healthcare company whose goal is to become the premier inpatient rehab provider in the communities we serve. We are looking for a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated staff. We seek a PTA who is a self-motivated healthcare professional with a passion for thinking out of the box, developing patient-centered clinical programming, and providing outstanding care to meet the diverse needs of our patients. Hours/Shifts:
Our openings include PRN, Days and Weekends Requirements of the job : Valid state license Completion of accredited therapy program Some experience in a skilled nursing setting is a plus but we welcome therapists with all levels of experience to apply.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move (walk, stoop, bend, stand, sit, push, pull, and lift) intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately, so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with patients, clients, and team members. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability. Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility. Must be able to lift patients, medical equipment, supplies, etc. up to 50 lbs.
