2532 Elderhaus is Hiring! General Summary Elderhaus, located in Wilmington NC, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our interdisciplinary team. Under the supervision and clinical direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will assist in delivering high-quality physical therapy services to our participants – frail elderly individuals who benefit from our holistic, person-centered care model.

Physical Therapist Assistant, PRN Essential Responsibilities:

Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
Assist with participant assessments and objective measurements.
Facilitate group therapy sessions and provide caregiver/staff instruction.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
Maintain accurate documentation and assist with equipment management.
Educate staff and caregivers on body mechanics and assistive devices.
Support quality improvement initiatives and uphold participant confidentiality.
Supervise PTA students and assist with department operations as needed.

Minimum Education:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Qualifications:

Current PTA license in North Carolina.
Current CPR certification required.
Minimum of 1 year working with a frail elderly population.
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation. Must meet EveryAge PACE’s auto insurance standards.
Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations. EOE/Disability/Vets
