Physical Therapy Assistant Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide treatment and rehabilitation services to patients with physical injuries or disabilities. You will assist in developing and implementing therapy plans, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients on exercises and techniques to improve their mobility and functionality.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist the Physical Therapist in conducting assessments and evaluations of patients. 2. Help develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ needs and goals. 3. Implement therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities. 4. Monitor and record patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. 5. Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities. 6. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities as needed. 7. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment. 8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. 9. Adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines in the practice of physical therapy.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program. 2. Current certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice. 3. CPR certification. 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team. 6. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. 7. Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises and activities. 8. Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology. 9.
