We are a Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation center serving Berks County, PA since 2019. We successfully treat a wide range of diagnoses, from young children to older adults. Our patients experience dramatic improvements and our practice has grown through word of mouth and patient referrals. We have bilingual staff and are looking to expand. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive the support they need during their rehabilitation journey, particularly in areas such as orthopedics and geriatrics. A strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology is preferred to facilitate effective communication and care. The job schedule will be from 2pm-7pm, Monday to Friday. Training will be at least 2 weeks long, and may occur in the mornings. Duties Assist with patient treatments and exercises, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment, ensuring all tools are ready for use. Help patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from treatment areas. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting progress and any changes observed during sessions. Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and the importance of adherence to their therapy plans. Manage patient scheduling, phone calls, and patient documentation for the clinic. Engage with patients to provide encouragement and motivation throughout their therapy sessions. Requirements This role requires the ability to speak, write, and understand Spanish. Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and empathy. Familiarity with orthopedic and geriatric patient needs is preferred. Must be able to follow instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
