Responsibilities:

Assisting the Physical Therapist in evaluating patients’ conditions and developing customized treatment plans
Engaging patients in a variety of interactive and enjoyable exercises to improve strength, coordination, and mobility
Demonstrating a repertoire of fun and therapeutic activities to keep patients motivated and engaged during their sessions
Providing hands-on assistance and guidance to patients during exercises and therapeutic activities
Monitoring patients’ progress and documenting their responses to treatment
Collaborating with the therapy team to ensure cohesive and effective patient care
Educating patients and their families on proper techniques for home exercises and self-care

Requirements:

Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program
State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
A dynamic and lively personality with a passion for bringing joy to therapy sessions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families
Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
Creativity and innovation in developing engaging therapy exercises and activities
A positive attitude and the ability to infuse enthusiasm into every session
Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of patients
A great sense of humor and a contagious smile!
