North Alabama Medical Center’s 24-hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama. Shoals Hospital is a 178-bed general acute care facility boasting spacious, private rooms for all patients, a 24-hour emergency department, medical and oncology services; medical/surgical inpatient units; and intensive care and short-stay surgery units. Shoals also operates the region’s only in-patient acute rehabilitation facility, the J. W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the Shoals’ only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults.

Position Summary:

This role provides administrative, clerical, and customer service support within the radiology department, covering duties for inventory tech, front office reception, and Aide/Unit Clerk responsibilities. The position involves basic patient care, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake/output. Other responsibilities include maintaining patient records, stocking radiology supplies, processing product orders, and coordinating with vendors for imaging-related equipment. The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment. Additional duties include training personnel, attending meetings, and assisting with patient reception in the radiology unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required
One (1) year in healthcare experience preferred
(BLS-HCP)
