Full Job Description Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with the physician credentialing duties for assigned locations as described under job functions and for providing clerical and technical support to physicians and executive management. This position works under the general direction of the Manager of Professional Services.
Credentialing Job Functions:
1. Entering physician’s credentialing data for assigned locations, timely and accurately. 2. Maintains accurate CV information file on all physicians in the practice as an active file and all physicians that have left the practice in an inactive file. 3. Ensures all physician demographic, affiliation, certification and licensure information is entered and maintained within Verity/CredentialStream credentialing platform. 4. Maintains and distributes physician notices that are received in the office to keep physicians informed of meetings and/or conferences they should attend. 5. Answers phone, takes messages, faxing of documents as requested, and other clerical duties. Shares responsibility for main incoming phone line coverage staffing. 6. Performs all other duties as requested or assigned by President, senior leadership and/or other Physicians in the practice and responds to ad hoc requests from physicians and senior leadership.
Teleradiology Workflow Job Functions:
1. Facilitates incoming and outgoing phone calls as Radiologists and Administrative Staff require and request. 2. Participates in the on-boarding of new teleradiology clients, serving as the primary contact for establishing new client workflow. Coordinates PACS system setup and testing with IT staff, and problem solving/troubleshooting until workflow is running smoothly. 3. Performs all other duties assigned and maintains other logs as needed.
Job Expectations:
Each of the duties described above are heavily deadline-driven and require that they be completed accurately and in a timely manner. Organization skills, extreme attention to detail and time management are essential to meeting this expectation. Assignments should be completed efficiently and accurately on a consistent basis.
Job Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and some college, or at least 1 year experience in related field. Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication, decision making and organization skills. The ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and multi-task in a fast-changing environment is also required. Office skills (typing, faxing, forwarding messages, etc.) strong computer skills and at least one year experience in a medical office setting. Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
