PositionDetails:

Hartford Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant orNurse Practitioner to join their energetic hospitalist team. TheHospitalist program is large, vibrant, and growing! The successfulAdvanced Practitioner will provide full-spectrum inpatient care,including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, andaddressing changes in clinical status. New and experiencedproviders are met with a comprehensive orientation provided by ourexceptional Physician and Advanced Practice Hospitalists.

Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants Role Scope:

Underestablished guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision withthe practice physician(s), Advanced Practitioners perform routinephysical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, andpsychosocial plans to treat patients. In consultation with thephysician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners developplans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral toother health team members or specialists. Advanced Practitionersprovide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of theprovider’s practice as designated by protocols and identifiesproblems outside of their scope of practice and refersappropriately to physician. The role involves close collaborationwith the directors.

Qualifications Requirements:
Licensure :

UnrestrictedState of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)

Training :

Certified or board-eligible

Physician Assistant or NursePractitioner Experience :

A minimum of 3 years of experience inhospital medicine, inpatient cardiology, or critical care.
