Job Description The Advance Practice Provider provides a comprehensive healthassessment and evaluation for patients in the clinic under thesupervision of the Medical Director or works with physician in asurgical capacity in the operating room. Provides health careservices to patients in a under direction and responsibility ofPhysician including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating,and educating patients. Works closely with physicians and otherclinicians in a team approach to patient care. May specialize in aspecific type of clinical care, e.g., geriatrics. Orders andinterprets appropriate tests i.e. labs, EKG, and Xrays underPhysician supervision. Qualifications Masters in Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science orMedical Science or Nursing required. Successful completion ofphysician assistant/Advanced Practice RN training and certificationas a physician assistant/APRN (general or specialized) from anapproved program. Relevant experience in developing and running patient careprograms. Current PA or APRN License in the State of Florida. Certified as National Commissioned Certification of PhysicianAssistants (NCCPA) required. BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association. Knowledge ofadvanced practice including anatomy and physiology,pathophysiology, pharmacology and therapeutics, basic nutrition,behavioral factors, psychosocial/family systems, diagnostictesting, interpretation of results and clinical decision making,alternative treatment modalities. Basic Computer Skills. Ability to document and utilize electronic health recordapplications.
