SCI 5100
Gross Anatomy course during the Fall quarter (October-December). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience teaching gross or clinical anatomy at the graduate level and a commitment to academic excellence. The selected candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of full-time faculty to support the program’s mission of developing competent and compassionate PAs. Responsibilities include didactic instruction, student evaluation, and course assessment. The South College Orlando PA Program fosters a collaborative environment with strong administrative support and meaningful opportunities for professional development. This is a fully on-campus role; remote or hybrid work is not available. Responsibilities Deliver lectures and laboratory sessions in Gross Anatomy, emphasizing clinical relevance.
Utilize 3D4Medical Complete Anatomy and Acland Video Atlas of Anatomy software to enhance student learning.
Engage graduate-level students in active learning and critical thinking.
Administer student assessments related to assigned course(s).
Curriculum development, delivery, and assessment (for assigned courses).
Active mentoring of PA students throughout assigned courses.
Acting as a course director or and/or co-instructor as is appropriate, in support of didactic and/or clinical instruction of PA students.
Requirements PA and Physician Candidates:
Education Graduation from an accredited PA training program or medical school Minimum of a master’s degree for Physician Assistant (PA) candidates or a doctorate degree (MD or DO) for physician candidates, in a professional discipline appropriate to their respective role. Experience Current and valid NCCPA certification (PA), or Board certification (MD or DO).
Active, unencumbered, and unrestricted Florida license.
Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience.
Non-clinician candidates:
Education Candidates who are not PAs or Physicians must hold a terminal academic degree (e.g., PhD) in a relevant biological or medical sciences field such as anatomy, physiology, or biomedical sciences, Experience Candidates must provide evidence of prior teaching experience at the graduate or professional level in medical or health professions education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Terminal degree in a biological or medical sciences discipline.
Teaching experience in a graduate medical education program.
