Our ideal candidate is comfortable performing physical exams to determine if the patient is suitable for outpatient surgery, preparing patients for surgery, creating a safe and effective environment as well as promoting health and well-being. The Physician’s Assistant will have the help of 1-2 Medical assistants in this faced paced, minimally invasive eye surgery role. What do we look for?
Prepare patient for surgery
Verify patient information by interviewing patient, reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, confirming purpose of visit
Complete physical exams to determine patient eligibility prior to outpatient surgery
Educate patients as needed
Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment and test results
Qualifications:
Licensed within the state of Florida to practice
Availability Monday-Friday with a 7am start time
Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail
Must have knowledge of EHR, Excel and Word documents.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
Ability to maintain discretion, accuracy and confidentiality with all patients
Must be able to frequently stand, sit and walk
Computer skills
