Job Description

Alexander Orthopaedic Associates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team of orthopedic specialists. In this role, you will work closely with physicians to provide high-quality patient care, from initial assessments to treatment and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and obtain detailed medical histories. Assist in diagnostic procedures and develop treatment plans with the supervising physician. Perform various clinical procedures, including joint injections and wound care, first assist in the OR. Educate patients and their families about orthopedic conditions and treatment options. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans under the supervision of physicians. Participate in patient rounds, case conferences, and team meetings. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program. Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Active Florida state license to practice as a Physician Assistant. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to patient care. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Previous experience in orthopedic settings is preferred but not required. Previous experience in surgical setting is preferred but no required.
