Required Qualifications:
One year ofrecent experience as an Advanced Practice Provider Active andunrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, inaccordance with State regulations Current ACNP or PA-C Current BLS(AHA/ARC) Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications for acute settings
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or higher in anaccredited advanced practice educational program Othercertifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible fordelivering comprehensive medical care in collaboration withsupervising or collaborating physicians and other members of thehealthcare team. The APP conducts patient assessments, developsappropriate treatment, and orders diagnostic test. They areresponsible for interpreting diagnostic and perform procedureswithin their scope of practice and credentialing. This role isflexible and can span a variety of clinical settings. Theseproviders use evidence-based practice, patient centered care, andclose communication with the care team to promote positive clinicaloutcomes.
Essential Work Functions:
Conduct comprehensive patientevaluations, including medical history, physical examination, andmental status assessments Formulate differential diagnoses andevidence-based treatment plans Order and interpret diagnostictests, imaging, and laboratory work Prescribe medications andinitiate therapies within scope of licensure Monitor treatmenteffectiveness and adjust care plans as needed Communicate andcoordinate with the complete patient care team Participate in teamhuddles, rounds, and case discussions Contribute tomultidisciplinary care planning and discharge processes Accuratelydocument patient encounters, assessments, and care plans Educatepatients, families, and team members on health promotion anddisease prevention Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing,and institutional policies
Required Essential Skills:
Criticalthinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communicationskills The ability to read, write, & communicate in the Englishlanguage is required Ability to read/comprehend writteninstructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PCskills Physical Abilities
- Remain in a stationary position, moveabout, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bendingInterpersonal Skills
